This is going to be the start of the season. This race will be the first race of 6 races to come. We have been working really hard to make this possible, but we still could use more support from the 4x4 comm. This will really help showcase all the people involved in four wheeling in Hawaii.

Every October we meet in the desert to have some wheeling fun and give something back. Come join us at the Ocotillo Wells SVRA where we raise money, not only for the association, but also for the Cal-Diego Paralyzed Veterans Association. Whether you have a 4X4, motorcycle, quad or other off road toy, we have a run for you! The 4X4 runs offer choices for all skill levels from “scenic” to “body damage likely”. The motorcycle rides are geared for all experience levels. We also offer a ride for kids on motorcycles or quads. Basically, we offer something for everyone; that includes YOU! Even if you are a man wanting to go on the Powder Puff Run (this one is for the ladies), we allow it on the condition that you dress like a woman!

This is a 3-day trip. We will start at the Colorado River near Needles, CA. The Mojave Road was a main wagon trail for only a relatively short time, two decades after the civil war, until the railroads came. While it was used, the Mojave Road was plagued by hostile Indians, lack of water, long stretches of sand and rough hill climbs.

Huddled in a far-off valley between pinnacles of red rock, Moab is one of the most breathtaking 4x4 destinations in the nation - if not the world. Many movies, including a host of John Ford Wild West classics, have been filmed in these otherworldly environs. A high percentage of the maintained and primitive roads are actually remnants of the area's uranium prospecting and mining past. Potash Road just outside Moab features petroglyphs and several dinosaur tracks. Be sure to take in the spectacular terrain of neighboring Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park.

The Ultra4 Grand Prix will be the final event of the 2011 Ultra4 Tour. Located at the historic Glen Helen Motorsports Park in San Bernardino, CA, this 256 acre park, built in 1985, will be transformed into a 6 mile Grand Prix course. Utilizing the Lucas short course track, REM, Nationals Motorcycle courses, the surrounding trail net work, massive hill climbs, huge jumps, and enduro cross features the Ultra4 Grand Prix will be a great ending to an exciting season of racing.

There will be lots to do from every level of four wheel driving to hiking and fishing. We also check out local huts. The kids usually do a lot of bike riding, playing in the mud, fish for tadpoles and hunt lizards. We also have a Halloween “Trick-or-Treat” session as well (bring lollies and costumes). By 1992 membership stood at 25 and it has grown ever since. Membership, however, is limited to protect the trails from overuse.

Join us in Ouray ("you-RAY") Colorado for challenging trails blazed by 19 century prospectors and for spectacular scenery. Ouray is located 7,800 feet above sea level in southwestern Colorado in the San Juan Mountains. Pass old mines and golden aspen trees, and pick your way around and over large boulders on your way to the best preserved ghost town in Colorado. The highlight is the spectacular mountain views from all of the passes you'll cross, the lowest of which is at 12,400 feet. The highest is Imogene Pass, which at 13,114 feet elevation is one of the highest passes you can drive over in the United States.

The CalROCS series attracts between 35 to 40 Competitors an event with drivers and spotters coming all the way from Canada, Utah, Washington, Oregan, Nevada, Arizona and of course the locals with some of the wildest, coolest and perhaps weirdest looking vehicles you have ever seen, from fairly stock looking jeeps to incredible "Moon Buggies". There is non-stop action for the two-day events with each competitor running four courses. CalROCS courses challenge the ability of the vehicle and the driver to ascend and descend sometimes near impossible obstacles. This brings on the carnage, rollovers and incredible displays of driving talent. CalROCS has a history of producing sophisticated courses for the pros, yet still keeping it competitive for the amateur to try their skills and participate. All the while, CalROCS is also designed to keep the costs down so virtually anyone can participate in this series and have so much fun doing it.

Hello 4wheelers, welcome back to the Alberta Safari's annual Tough Trail Challenge Aug. 22-23 at Birch Trail Farm. This year there will be 4 tire classes, 31-35",36-41",42-47" and 49-79". Hosted and funded by The Commander Hotel and sponsored by a group of local businesses who all want to welcome the "Jeep Community" to Ocean City. The Ocean City area lends itself to a number of interesting and enjoyable activities and it is their hope that Ocean City Jeep Week will become just one more of the great events here every year. There is a parade scheduled for Friday at 8 a.m., and lasts about an hour. It travels southbound from 30th Street to the Inlet, and will be composed of 80 vehicles, one of which will be a customized Ocean City Special Edition 2011 Jeep Wrangler, designed by MOJO Custom Jeeps and Thompson Automotive, a dealership in Harford County. The companies have built the vehicle especially for the event, and it will be on sale during Jeep Week, with proceeds going to charity.

Two Rivers Jeep Club (TRJC) is located in Pittsfield, Illinois, 60 miles west of the state capital of Springfield. Current membership is 250 (from 10 states) and is always full with a waiting list. In fact, it is probably the largest all-Jeep Club in the United States that maintains its own trails. But that wasn't always so. In 1991, TRJC was founded by Tom Wombles and five other Pike County residents. It was formed for recreation and to help provide trails and guides for the first of the Land of Lincoln Jeep Jamborees. By 1992 membership stood at 25 and it has grown ever since. Membership, however, is limited to protect the trails from overuse.

The End Of Trails ranch near Vernon, BC is holding their first annual mud bog! The event, which takes place from 10-4 on Saturday, July 9th, has fun for the whole family with a hill and hold mud race, a mud run through the pit for the $100 prize, an Elvis impersonator at half time and a concession. You'll go deep into beautiful forest on old logging roads and abandoned railroads. Skirt the headwater swamps of the Peshtigo, Wolf, and Wisconsin Rivers. Keep an eye out for plenty of indigenous wildlife, including deer, beaver, bald eagles, loons, foxes, and black bear. The region is also a paradise for paddlers and fishers alike. The Jeepers Jamboree is considered the oldest, toughest and largest organized event of this type in the world. It has worldwide publicity through TV, radio, magazines and newspaper. The world famous Jeepers Jamboree starts in Georgetown, California. Vehicles travel east over 45 miles of paved and dirt road, crossing the dam at Stumpy Meadows and passing the old cattleman's stop of Uncle Tom's Cabin. At Loon Lake, the off-roading begins. The Rubicon Trail is considered the "Granddaddy" of all four-wheel trails - a 10 on most scales! Annually, the winter storms carve out a different trail among the rocky sluices and granite slabs providing new challenges each year. The route traverses the Devil's Post Pile made up of thousands of tons of boulders and passes Spider and Buck Island Lakes. Rubicon Springs (altitude 6,060 ft.), the site of a late 19th Century mineral springs and hotel provides the setting for the encampment. Here you will be wined, dined and entertained in the finest High Sierra style.

The CalROCS series attracts between 35 to 40 Competitors an event with drivers and spotters coming all the way from Canada, Utah, Washington, Oregan, Nevada, Arizona and of course the locals with some of the wildest, coolest and perhaps weirdest looking vehicles you have ever seen, from fairly stock looking jeeps to incredible "Moon Buggies". There is non-stop action for the two-day events with each competitor running four courses. CalROCS courses challenge the ability of the vehicle and the driver to ascend and descend sometimes near impossible obstacles. This brings on the carnage, rollovers and incredible displays of driving talent. CalROCS has a history of producing sophisticated courses for the pros, yet still keeping it competitive for the amateur to try their skills and participate. All the while, CalROCS is also designed to keep the costs down so virtually anyone can participate in this series and have so much fun doing it.

A maze of red sheer-walled canyons with looming cliffs and hidden caves is home to the Navajo Nation and Canyon de Chelly ("de-SHAY") National Monument. The canyon's spiritual significance will be explained by a Navajo guide as you wind through the two branches of the canyon. One of the trail's highlights is the towering 850-foot monolith of Spider Rock. While the canyon walls are sheer cliffs, the bottom of the canyon is flat and sandy. There are over 2,700 archeological sites, including cliff dwellings, pictographs, and petroglyphs. Pets are not allowed in the canyon.

This Jamboree offers a wide variety of trails that lead you through rolling hills, wooded forests, and rocky plateaus. The Turkey Bay OHV area has over 2,500 acres of trails with steep grades, creeks, and rocky terrain. The region also has lots of wildlife including turkey, bobcat, red wolf, coyote, deer, and many birds of prey. Plus, be on the lookout for eagles' nests along the way - they can be up to 8 feet wide. Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area has 170,000 acres of undeveloped land, so nighttime stargazing while camping on a moonless night is especially good.

Traveling the Mojave Road isn't a picnic but it is a great family style 4-Wheel drive trip / Expedition. It's a 3-day excursion, best made in convoy with other 4-wheelers. The Mojave Road was a main wagon trail for settlers coming to California. The trip begins on the bank of the Colorado River. The terrain is mostly desert; some hills over the various mountain ranges; a dry lake; water crossings; canyons; and areas of soft sand.

While there are many trails available at ASC to challenge the hardcore wheelers, there will be a focus this year on some more modest trails and activities suitable for new wheelers and the somewhat less hardcore. A 101 introduction to offroad driving and beginner trail will be lead for any interested participants.

March 19, 2011 | Two Rivers Jeep Club, Trail Builder

Two Rivers Jeep Club (TRJC) is located in Pittsfield, Illinois, 60 miles west of the state capital of Springfield. Current membership is 250 (from 10 states) and is always full with a waiting list. In fact, it is probably the largest all-Jeep Club in the United States that maintains its own trails. But that wasn't always so. In 1991, TRJC was founded by Tom Wombles and five other Pike County residents. It was formed for recreation and to help provide trails and guides for the first of the Land of Lincoln Jeep Jamborees. By 1992 membership stood at 25 and it has grown ever since. Membership, however, is limited to protect the trails from overuse.

Some already know of us, and i hope more will do soon. Mud Monsters is an off roading club based in sussex and will be holding a 4 part winch challenge/ punch hunt series in 2011. Theses events will be held in the south east of england. Dates are still to confirm so we dont conflict with other events.

We'll meet up at 9:00 a.m. in the parking lot, have a group photo and then hit the trails. Pack a lunch 'cause we'll probably stop for lunch somewhere on the West Property. The plan will be to have everyone back at the parking lot by 4 p.m.

This is a 3-day trip. We will start at the Colorado River near Needles, CA. The Mojave Road was a main wagon trail for only a relatively short time, two decades after the civil war, until the railroads came. While it was used, the Mojave Road was plagued by hostile Indians, lack of water, long stretches of sand and rough hill climbs.

Our annual Molina Ghost Run, hosted by the Central District, has been traditionally held at the Clear Creek Management Area near Coalinga. The area is currently under a closure order by the Bureau of Land Management, so the event is being held at the Hollister Hills SVRA instead. It is six miles west of Hollister in San Benito County.
